Versace designer Donatella Versace has announced plans for the label to present its pre-fall collection in New York on December 2, 2018 at 7:00 PM. The runway reflects the first time Versace has planned a pre-fall presentation.
The date was chosen in honor of Donatella’s brother Gianni Versace, who was born on December 2, 1946. The label has not yet announced the location for the show. This is the first time Versace has produced a fashion show for the pre-fall season.
According to reporting by WWD, the event had been planned prior to the company being acquired by Michael Kors Holdings Ltd., which announced it had purchased Versace in late September 2018 for $2.1 billion.
Subsequent to the purchase, Kors announced plans to set up an umbrella company called Capri Holdings, which will include Versace, Kors and Jimmy Choo.
