Kim Jones Taps KAWS For First Dior Hommes Campaign

November 2, 2018. Leave a Comment

Kim Jones has revealed his debut Dior Homme campaign, which marks the return of the 33-foot-tall pink flower KAWS BFF figure that was the centerpiece of the label’s spring 2019 runway presentation.

Offerings featured in the campaign include items made in collaboration with KAWS that will hit stores in December 2019. Models include Denmark’s Prince Nikolai (in the baby blue jacket below)), Valentin Caron, Romaine Dixon, Malick Bodian and Lukas G.

“I wanted the advertising to reflect the spirit of the men’s summer show and the beauty of Dior,” Jones told WWD. “I’ve always wanted to work with KAWS. I think he’s super chic and also his work speaks to a lot of people.”

Images were shot by Steven Meisel with styling handled by Melanie Ward, makeup by Pat McGrath and hair by Guido Palau.  Accompanying campaign video (below) was shot by Jackie Nickerson.
