Beyoncé and Jay-Z performed as the headlining act last night (December 2, 2018) in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Global Citizens Festival, an event that also included Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, Usher, Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest, D’Banj, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kacey Musgraves, Sho Madjozi and Tiwa Savage.

While Beyoncé and Jay-Z’z set list was pulled in large part from the married duo’s “On the Run II” tour, multiple songs were swapped out and in (most prominently “Halo”) and Beyoncé stepped up with an entirely new set of costumes designed by a combination of Versace, Mary Katrantzou, Balmain, Esteban Cortazar and South African label Quiteria & George (which received a big assist from Enhle Mbali Maphumulo). Styling was handled in part by Zerina Akers.
