Converse and Shrimps as lead by Hannah Weiland have announced plans for a six-piece shoe and clothing capsule that makes the most of the U.K.-based label’s whimsical design approach.
Offerings include a white and black version of the Chuck 70 Hi detailed with an all-over print of Shrimps face motif, along with a pink One Star Low detailed with an all-over rose silhouette print. Shrimps is best known for its colorful faux fur offerings and the backs of both shoes are detailed with fur. Apparel offerings include a hoodie, joggers and long-sleeve t-shirt.
Weiland said it mattered to her that Converse and its parent company, Nike, have begun to emphasize an ethical and sustainable approach to production. “It’s one of the most important things I look for in collaborations,” explained Weiland. “We are designing for millennials who want to change the world and the future of the planet, so we have to help with this and reflect everyone’s amazing efforts towards an ethical and sustainable future.”
Priced from $40 to $125, the capsule will be available on December 13, 2018 on converse.com
