Queens rapper Nicki Minaj has dropped a video for “Runnin,” a visual in which she co-stars with Harlem rappers A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg along with Atlanta-based rapper/producer/songwriter Mike Will Made-It. “Runnin” is included on the soundtrack for Creed II, a film that released in November 2018.
Shot sometime in fall 2018, the visual opens with Rocky and Ferg hanging out at a Harlem seafood spot, El Puerto Seafood & Fish Market, and then swings across the river to Jamaica, Queens where Minaj, Ferg and Mike Will are shot chowing down in Vibes, a Caribbean restaurant.
As to why we don’t see Minaj and Rocky together, she explained on Twitter, “Rocky had to fly out on the day I shot & I had flown out by the time he shot. Ferg & I have the best chemistry. That’s my guy. It was FREEZING cold that day. lol. We all just pushed thru. The food was AMAZING.”
In the visual, Minaj sports head-to-toe Fendi paired with heart-shaped Saint Laurent frames. Minaj’s Strawberry Shortcake-inspired up ‘do was styled by Arrogant Tae.
