Adidas and Ivy Park allegedly held a super exclusive party at Coachella last night (April 13, 2019) were the invite list was highly exclusive and included a no photo policy.
While no party pics emerged (we don’t even know if Bey was present!), Nicholas “$lick” Stewart, a dancer who appears in Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s “Apeshit” video, posted an image on Instagram Stories after the event showing what appears to be a portion of a gold-colored basketball (or football?) bearing the Adidas and Ivy Park logos.
Adidas announced its “strategic” partnership with Beyoncé in early April 2019 with a graphic that included the same yellow gold color and thus it’s safe to assume that it speaks to a collection color story.
The color theme also matches up with the promo for Beyoncé ‘s upcoming “Homecoming” documentary detailing all that went into her iconic, HBIC-themed Coachella 2018 performance.
Given all the color coordinating, it’s possible the video will be used to provide a first-time look at the debut Adidas and Ivy Park collection. But in the event that doesn’t happen, given timing of the announcement it’s likely the debut collection will be available to purchase sometime within the next six months whether in time for the all important back-to-school buying season in June/July or for holiday in October or November.
