Supreme has revealed the lookbook for its collaboration with French designer Jean Paul Gaultier. In addition to clothing, the spring 2019 capsule includes efforts with Schott and Vans. The collection also includes Le Male, one of Gaultier’s fragrances.
Items include a double-breasted pinstripe blazer, cargo pants and suit vest, a double-breasted plaid faux fur coat, MA-1 jacket with a built-in backpack, graffiti print trucker jacket and jeans, hoodie, rayon shirt, sweatpants, Schott leather holster, belt, sunglasses and Vans Chukka Pro and Era Pro.
Born in the suburbs of Paris in 1952, Gaultier began sending his sketches to designers, including Pierre Cardin, who hired him as an assistant when he was 18. Gaultier debuted his inaugural collection in 1976 at a planetarium in Paris.
One of the world’s most iconic and influential designers, Gaultier is also known for his close association with Madonna for whom he designed her famed “Blonde Ambition Tour” costume.
The Supreme x Jean Paul Gaultier collection will launch in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Manhattan, London, Paris and online on April 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM local time. The capsule will be available in Japanese stores on April 13th.
