Ariana Grande ups her fashion game with the news she is the new face of French fashion label Givenchy, whose creative director is Clare Waight Keller.

The news follows on the heels of Grande dethroning Selena Gomez as the most followed woman on Instagram. Since releasing her album Sweetener in August 2018, Grande’s following has grown by over 13 million followers.

In a press release, the label stated, “It is with great excitement that the House of Givenchy reveals its new face, a strong, independent woman of refreshing character and style: the multi-talented Ariana Grande. A modern muse and the voice of a generation, Ariana has emerged as one of the most influential forces in pop culture today. A Grammy award-winning performer, songwriter and singer, she naturally embodies the spirit of the Givenchy woman with impertinence, generosity and a lightning wit—all cloaked in a touch of mystery.”

The 25-year-old posted the press release on her Instagram feed, where she wrote, ” i don’t have words to describe how much this partnership means to me. such an incredible honor and with a brand i love sooooo much. thank you from the bottom of my heart and i’m so excited for all things ahead….. 🖤 #arivenchy@givenchyofficial #givenchyfamily

While Givenchy has teased some images highlighting Grande’s famed poney tail, official Craig McDean-shot images will be released in July 2019.

Barcelona-based Syndical Chamber designer Sergio C Barcelona-based Syndical Chamber designer Sergio Castaño Peña shockingly jumped on Jean Paul Gaultier's Ig post yesterday, to accuse JPG of copying his concept of a naked Trompe L’oeil dress.

On Twitter, outraged fashion lovers responded with multiple posts documenting "naked" looks designed by Gaultier dating back to the '90s.

Jumping in on the backlash, JPG's official Twitter account has been reposting tweets coming to his defense. We fully concur with one poster who wrote: "Jean Paul Gaultier is a founding father and it’s sad that the youth doesn’t know his immense impact."

p.s. I added additional blocks to JPG's post 'cause we don't have nudity lattitude like he does. Same reason I didn't post examples of his earlier work.
