Nike And Cactus Plant Flea Market’s VaporMax Launches May 14th

May 16, 2019 update: Nike and CPFM’s VaporMax is sold out. If you’re looking to purchase it, it’s available on stockx.com where it’s been selling from a range of $470-$1,000 since dropping.

First revealed on Air Max Day on March 26, 2019, Nike has now queued up an official launch date for its VaporMax x Cactus Plant Flea Market silhouette.

Cactus Plan Flea Market designer Cynthia Lu‘s version of Nike’s VaporMax features a black and grey nylon upper detailed with a silhouette of a Swoosh constructed from green garden wiring that’s positioned on the medial side of one shoe and the lateral side of the other while the opposite side of the shoe reads “just do it.” The shoe also features CPFM’s familiar smile face motif on the heel.

According to Nike press, the red and green-colored sole reflects “the natural beauty of ‘in-between time,’ the moments in dawn and dusk that define a city’s particular color field. This concept, specifically the optical phenomenon of a green flash, a sliver of green that appears upon the crest of the sun as it merges with the horizon, inspired the color choices.”

Note: There are images of a Nike VaporMax x CPFM shoe that lights up and is accompanied by a charger (see below), however, that particular style was made in small quantities for friends and family members only.

Priced at $250, Nike VaporMax x Cactus Plant Flea Market will drop globally on May 14, 2019 on NIke’s U.S. SNKRS and European SNEAKRS apps. They will also be sold at select NikeLab retail locations globally.

The dope design of the shoe combined with Lu’s association with Pharrell Williams has translated to a lot of pre-launch hype, which will make this a tough shoe to cop. If you haven’t purchased a shoe using Nike’s apps in the past, check out our tutorial here.
