Grammy-winning performer Ciara (real name Ciara Harris) visited the latest episode of Jada Pinkett Smith‘s “Red Table Talk” show where she discussed going from a heartbroken single mother to a happily married mother of two. She also discussed how her period of struggle helped inform Beauty Marks, her new album.
Married to 30-year-old Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Westbrook since July 2016, her seemingly idyllic relationship is viewed as a 180-degree turn from her tumultuous relationship with rapper Future with whom she shares a five-year-old son, named Future Zahir Wilburn.
In prior interviews, the 33-year-old has attributed finding Westbrook to prayer and it’s become a running joke among her fan base to ask Ciara to provide the exact content of the prayer in an effort to help along their own happily-ever after stories.
Sure enough, in the fan-sourced question and answer portion of the interview, Ciara was asked for “the specific prayer you prayed to get Russell.”
With a chuckle she answered, “Be very specific, be very clear about what you want to the point to where you can taste it. You know, you can feel it through your bones, you can feel it through your body. It’s a very spiritual thing.”
