As we write this, designer/stylist Ian Connor sits in a jail cell somewhere in Los Angeles. Earlier this week, the 26-year-old Connor announced he was going to jail for a year on gun-related charges on his Finsta account. Complex subsequently confirmed with the city’s Public information Office that Connor was sentenced in three different cases in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Two of the charges were related to possession of firearms, for which Connor received three years of probation. Connor was also charged with negligent discharge of firearm in May 2016 and for that offense he was sentenced to serve 363 days in jail.
Prior to heading off to what Connor describes as a “government vacation,” he pushed back on criticism that he only proposed to model/designer Raven Tracy because he was going to jail. On Twitter, Connor wrote, “I didn’t propose to Raven because I’m going to prison, I proposed to her because as everyone knows…I love her very much and it was her birthday.”
He also praised the 25-year-old Tracy for her loyalty and pointed out that’s she’s always been there to bail him out when he got into trouble with the law. Connor explained, “And my gun charges have been bated back to 2016 and she was there bonding me out each and everytime.”
While Connor has worked with many prominent creatives, his career has been dogged by multiple rape accusations that are credible enough that several brands and artists he once worked with have cut ties with him.
