Famously known for her curls, Tracee Ellis Ross has tapped into a lifetime of experience caring for them to launch a new haircare line. Called Pattern, Ellis Ross’ product line specifically is designed for curly, coily and tight-textured hair ranging from 3B to 4C in texture.
Launching a line for curly hair has long been on Ellis Ross’ mind. In an interview Allure, she explained, “I was dreaming about doing this all through high school, I had logged hours and hours in the trenches with my hair. Many of us can chronicle the journey of our self-acceptance through the journey of our hair. I think, in all honesty, the timing is perfect.”
Pattern’s launch collection includes a shampoo (priced from $9-$20), a medium, heavy or intense conditioner (priced from $9-$42), two hair oil serums ($25), a shower brush ($17), hair clip ($10) and microfiber towel ($19).
Ellis Ross noted the offerings reflect on caring for curls during shower time. She explained, “The goal is to give people access to their best curls in the bathroom. I don’t believe that people should have to be dependent on a professional to feel their most beautiful and for their hair to be healthy.”
Tracey Ellis Ross’ Pattern collection will launch on patternbeauty.com on September 9, 2019. Offerings will also be sold at Ulta Beauty starting September 22nd.
