Converse and Tokyo-based label Ambush as creatively directed by Yoon Ahn have provided launch and silhouette details on an collaborative effort first announced earlier this year.
The designer worked off of Converse’s popular Chuck 70 silhouette as well as the brand’s Pro Leather. Taking inspiration from a ’50s-era Converse military boot called the Extreme Cold Weather boot, Ahn came up with a white version of the Pro Leather featuring a heightened platform, a rubberized upper and a gusseted tongue with Ambush branding along the heel.
As for the Pro Leather model, Ahn is among the first group of designer to collaborate with Converse on the classic basketball silhouette. Offered in black, the hightop shoe also features a rubberized upper detailed with a 3D Converse Star Chevron logo, gusseted tongue and black laces. The shoe also includes Ambush branding on the elevated heel.
Converse and Ambush’s Chuck 70 and Pro Leather silhouettes will drop on October 19, 2019 at converse.com and select retailers.
