Megan thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) and New Orleans-born VickeeLo today (November 15, 2019) dropped a visual for the bounce-flavored “Ride or Die,” the opening single on the Queen & Slim soundtrack.
The video was dropped alongside the release of the hip-hop and r&b-infused Queen & Slim soundtrack, now available on all streaming platforms. The 11-song project includes contributions from Ms. Lauryn Hill (her first new music in six years!), Blood Orange, Syd, Vince Staples, Burna Boy, 6LACK, and Mereba, among others.
Directed by Melina Matsoukas with a screenplay written by Lena Waithe, Queen & Slim is a current-day take on the classic Bonnie & Clyde, partners-in-crime love story as seen through the lens of the black American experience. Look for the film to hit U.S. theaters on November 27, 2019.
