After causing a major ruckus for wearing a negligee and a thong to a Los Angeles Lakers game last night (December 8, 2019), the multi-Grammy-nominated Lizzo today rode the wave of the social media firestorm with a video for her 2016 single “Good as Hell,” a track featured on her major-label debut EP, “Coconut Oil.”
Tapping into the HBIC marching band trend, a flute-bearing Lizzo shot the “Good as Hell” video with Southern University’s Human Jukebox marching band and the Fabulous Dancing Dolls in a visual that follows the students as they prepare for the school’s homecoming game.
This is actually the second video for “Good as Hell,” which has seen a recent revival akin to her two-year-old single “Truth Hurts.” Providing an extra dose of momentum, the song received a remix with Arianna Grande in October.
