Houston-born singer/songwriter Solange today released a director’s cut version of her video for When I Get Home, her fourth studio album released in March 2019. The video includes additional scenes as well as a remix “Dreams (Demo/2).”
Shot in Marfa, Texas, In October 2018, the video was edited and directed by Solange with contributions from her soon-to-be-ex husband, Alan Ferguson, Terence Nance, Jacolby Satterwhite and Ray Tintori.
The 41-minute visual includes performances by artists Autumn Knight and Robert Pruitt are also featured in the short film, described as “an exploration of origin, asking the question how much of ourselves do we bring with us versus leave behind in our evolution” in a statement by Solange’s reps.
The extended cut now gives fans a further glimpse into her creative vision, offering additional scenes and even a new track, “Dreams (Demo/2).”
