British fashion label JW Anderson as led by designer Jonathan Anderson showed a presentation on Wednesday (January 15, 2020) during Paris Fashion Week Men’s that was highlighted by a statement-making open-back, loafer detailed with an over-sized Cuban link chain.
Seemingly making reference to Birkenstock’s Arizona silhouette with a cork foot bed, the shoe brings together the seemingly disparate worlds of Bohemian style and bling and makes it work.
First popularized within hip hop culture, the Cuban link chain detail was also used to adorn multiple clothing items in the collection including coats and sweaters.
