Drake first popped up in New York at Nike‘s New York Fashion Week presentation on Wednesday (February 5, 2020) though rather than head home after the event, the Toronto rapper chose to linger in the City and it appears part of his motivation was to spend some quality time with Moroccan-Dutch model Imaan Hammam.
First spotted together after the Nike event at the Fleur Room rooftop bar in Manhattan, Drake (real name Aubrey Drake Graham) was subsequently photographed leaving Hammam’s Williamsburg apartment in Brooklyn the following morning.
The 33-year-old music superstar followed up on Friday night with an appearance at a Frame eyewear event at Chinese Tuxedo where the brand celebrated Hammam as a brand collaborator.
Drake lingered at the event and was happily photographed with his arm around the 23-year old model, who was born in Amsterdam to an Egyptian father and a Moroccan mother.
Eagle-eye Drake watchers have pointed out the rapper has been liking her Instagram images for months and recently gifted her a personalized candle.
While Drake is known for being in a lot of low-key situationships, his last prominent relationship was with Rihanna, who broke things off with him sometime in fall 2016. Following the break up, he also briefly dated Jennifer Lopez, a relationship he acknowledged in a recent interview.
As late as June 2019, Hamman was dating fellow Dutch model Lentini Eersteling though as of now he’s nowhere to be found on her Instagram feed. And yes, Drake and Hammam follow each other on the app.
