XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class Nominees Include 16 Women

Rap publication XXL has revealed its 2020 Freshman Class nominees, a list of 36 rappers that include 16 women. Female rappers on the list are Asian Doll, Abby Jasmine, Jucee Froot, BigKlit, BbyMutha, Chika, Coi Leray, Cuban Doll, DaniLeigh, Flo Milli, Mulatto, Ms. Banks, Queen Key, Renni Rucci, Stunna Girl and Yung Baby Tate.

The magazine has already selected nine Freshman Class members and has opened voting for the reader-selected 10th spot. The full list of 10 will be revealed with the magazine’s June cover. You can choose your nominee for the 10th spot here.

Last year’s freshman class included a record-breaking three women: Megan Thee Stallion, Tierra Whack and Rico Nasty.
