New York-based Kith founded by Ronnie Fieg has announced plans to open a flagship location in Tokyo, marking the retailer’s first international location. While the new store will be Kith’s debut flagship, the retailer made it’s first foray into Tokyo with a Kith Treats location in August 2017.
Similar to Kith’s locations in Los Angeles, Miami and New York, the Tokyo flagship was designed by Daniel Arsham’s Snarkitecture firm. As is a signature in each of Kith’s stores, the stores’s ceiling and facade is adorned with multiple rows of plaster cast sneakers. In a switch from the retailer’s U.S. locations, Kith Tokyo features Nike’s Air Force 1.
The two store floor will carry Kith’s line for men, women and children plus an array of branded shoes and footwear. The location will also include a Kith Treats ice cream counter as well as access to a rooftop garden through a staircase located on the second floor.
As part of opening day celebrations, Kith has partnered with Nike on an exclusive Air Force 1 sneaker. The shoe will mark the first time Kith has collaborated with Nike on an Air Force 1 available to the public.
Kith Tokyo will open its doors on July 4, 2020. Reflecting COVID-19 related precautions, the store is opening on an appointment-only basis for the near term with customers provided a day and time slot to explore the shop safely and comfortably.
The store is located at Miyashita Park North 1st and 2nd floor, store No. 108006-20-10, Jingumae Shibuya-ku in Tokyo 150-0001. When the store returns to normal hours it will be open from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM seven days a week. To schedule a time to shop, visit kithtokyo.com.
