Houston rapper Megan thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) has parlayed her love of anime into a collaborative capsule with Crunchyroll, a platform that distributes, publishes, and licenses anime, manga, and dorama-themed content.
Offerings include two hoodies, a long sleeve t-shirt, two t-shirts and a tote bag all of which are adorned with anime-inspired illustrations of the Houston Hottie.
Megan first interacted with Crunchyroll when she was interviewed by platform editor Tim Lyu in April 2020. In the interview, she told Lyu, “I’m half anime character, half rapper.” Amusingly, Megan noted she was never a fan of Sailor Moon. She explained, “Every time there’s a fight, her boyfriend comes to save the day.”
Priced from $19.95 for the tote up to $59.95 for the hoodies, Megan and Crunchyroll’s items in the capsule are now available to pre-order on store.crunchyroll.com. Pre-orders close July 20, 2020 at 5:00 PM PDT.
