Brooklyn-born musician Leikeli47 has released a new single titled “Zoom,” a song highlighted by a dramatic yet spare beat enabling 47’s smooth and word play-filled flow (which takes a page from Cardi B‘s “Bodak Yellow” for a few bars) to shine.
Taking inspiration from the world of Nintendo, the visual is set up to look like an early era video game with 47 driving a down the highway accompanied by a driver whose name is Moriah.
As 47 and Moriah make their way down the highway traversing from Virginia (47’s place of birth) to New York, they collect bundles of money, fuel cans and 47 masked avatars as they fend of a never-ending stream of machine gun toting, old-school gangsters in suits. As with all of 47 visuals, it’s cute, clever and has repeat visual appeal.
“Zoom” will be included on 47’s upcoming album titled Shape Up. As of now, the album doesn’t have a drop date.
