First Look At Adidas And Wolford’s Chic Approach To Activewear

September 9, 2020. Leave a Comment

Athletic giant Adidas joins forces with Austrian knitwear brand Wolford on a sleek collection of women’s activewear pieces. The first-time collaboration combines Adidas reputation for performance with Wolford’s reputation as a master knitwear company known for creating luxurious pieces.

In press about the collaboration, Adidas vice president of women’s design Josephine Aberg, stated, “In our ambition to redefine the use of knit in sportswear and to build on our cult favorites like [Adidas] Warpknit, Wolford, which has the best knitting capabilities in the market, emerged as the perfect partner to collaborate with on this luxurious collection.”

Thus far, Adidas and Wolford have announced plans for two separate capsules: Studio Motion and Sheer Motion.

Adidas and Wolford’s Studio Motion collection will launch on November 2, 2020. Offerings make use of metallic yarns to create a high-shine finish that complement the body’s curves.

The second drop, Sheer Motion, launches on January 4, 2021. The collection is rooted in ’90s-era coordinated silhouettes and makes use of Wolford’s expertise in making design statements by combining sheer and opaque knits.

Both collections will launch on adidas.com and at Wolford stores globally.
