Romanian-born designer Ancuta Sarca has revealed her latest collection of knit and leather upper mules and slingback kitten heel sandals adorned with Nike‘s famed Swoosh. Each shoe is made in very limited runs using of recycled Nike sneakers and upcycled material.
In an update from prior collections, the label has added a selection of boots, a bright blue lace up knee-high boot and a silver ankle boot.
A graduate of Art and Design University of Cluj Napoca in Romania, London-based Sarca first introduced the world to her upcycled designs on Instagram in summer 2019. She went on to show a collection of footwear the following fall in collaboration with Nike under the Fashion East umbrella.
Ancuta Sarca’s unique designs are now hitting stores and are selling out as quickly as they arrive. As well, some retailers only sell the shoes in their physical stores. The label’s various fall 2020 silhouettes currently are carried at brownsfashion.com, nomau.com, afavorsydney.com and bluedotbeijing.com.
