Nike‘s has revealed its first official apparel capsule with sponsored tennis star Naomi Osaka, who is fresh off of taking home the grand prize at the New York Open. The collection also marks the debut of her Nike logo, a design rooted in the flag of Japan, the country of her birth.
Working off of an orange, green and white color story, the capsule features a hoodie, long-sleeve camo shirt, polo shirt, t-shirt, basketball shorts, leggings, tights and a fanny pack.
Further referencing her multi-cultural background The camo on long-sleeve shirt is decorated with a print inspired by the coordinates of Japan, Haiti and the United States, a shout out to her Japanese mother, her Haitian father and the United States where she’s live and trained since she was three-years old.
There’s no pricing as of now, but this cute collection drops Nov. 16, 2020 in Japan and the Americas, and in early December throughout Western Europe on Nike’s online store.
Nike hasn’t yet made an official announcement, but the brand is said to be planning to launch a Blazer High with Comme des Garçons and Osaka sometime in November.
