Capitalizing on the popularity of its signature line of aluminum roller luggage, LVMH owned luxury label RIMOWA makes a cute bag statement with a mini-, handbag-sized version of its famed aluminum roller suitcase.
First revealed as part of a collaboration with Dior on the label’s spring 2020 runway, the crossbody bag is referred to as the Personal and is manufactured in Germany from a lightweight polycarbonate rather than he heavier weight aluminum used on the suitcase.
According to press describing the new item, “Personal is a unisex hard-shell crossbody bag meant to house and transport your daily personal essentials. It can be worn with the detachable, adjustable leather body strap or carried like a clutch.
The gloss finish bags are detailed with RIMOWA’s branding and are secured with two leather bands that wrap around either side of the rectangular-shaped bag.
No pricing as of now (the collabo with Dior is priced at $2,550), but the debut collection will be offered in four colors: black and white, which are permanent plus seasonal colors desert rose and cactus. All four colors will be available to pre-order on November 19, 2020 on rimowacom. The Personal will also be carried in RIMOWA stores.
