Using art as a medium for collaboration, New York-based label Chrishabana as lead by Chris Habana teamed up with outdoor sandal brand Teva to create four one-of-a-kind custom Original Universal sandal designs.
The collaboration was accompanied by a short film by South African artist Desire Marea to bring awareness and raise funds for the Transgender Law Center.
In press about the project, Marea stated, “This collaboration came at the right time. I’ve been a fan of Chris’s work for years and it felt great to finally be united in a creative project with such great intent. Creativity is a healing modality and the world needs that now more than ever.”
The customized sandals, as well as select pieces from Chrishabana’s spring 2021 collection are now available for auction on chrishabana.com through November 29, 2020.
