Travis Scott Previews Nike PlayStation Dunk Sneaker

Music creative Travis Scott (real name Jacques Webster) through his Cactus Jack merch label has queued up his next mayhem making sneaker, a Nike Dunk Low sneaker created in association with famed game system PlayStation.

Nike and Cactus Jack’s Dunk features a cream and grey upper detailed with a brown Swoosh, heel tab and laces. As with Scott’s Cactus Jack Air Jordan 1 High and Low silhouettes, the Swoosh is placed backward on the upper. The shoes are also adorned with a PlayStation logo at the heel and across the sole with Sony stamped on the heel tab.

The shoe is not an SB model, which means it will probably see wider distribution than just SNKRS and the skate shops typically associated with SB launches

The reveal of the Dunk follows on the heels of Sony’s announcement of Scott as a strategic creative partner on October 23, 2020. Sony launched the PlayStation 5 system on November 12, 2020, a release that was closely followed by the sneaker resell community which employed the same methods they use with sneakers to purchase and flip the systems.

As part of the reveal, the Cactus Jack shop includes a raffle to win a pair of the Nike Dunk sneakers and a Play Station 5. Entry for the raffle is open November 13th and 14th.

In addition to the raffle, the Cactus Jack shop has been stocked with co-branded PlayStation merch comprising a down jacket, work jacket, hoodie, crewneck, long sleeve t-shirt and t-shirt, beanie.

Scott also released a 10-minute visual providing a close up view of the PS5, along with visuals associated with the system’s most popular games like Astro’s Playroom, Horizon Forbidden West, and Demon’s Souls.

Following the introduction to the system, the 29-year old entertainer and entrepreneur is shot giving away and playing with the system. Midway through the visual, English singer James Blake performs his new song “Do You Ever” on piano.

The video closes out with a tribute to Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke (real name Bashar Jackson), who was murdered at the age of 20 earlier this year.

Check out Scott’s visual titled “A Travis Scott + Cactus Jack Experience – PS5: Unboxing Reimagined” below.
