Sustainability-themed design company Pentatonic has linked with New York-based design firm Snarkitecture to create a dining kit in a triple grey colorway.
Dubbed the Pebble, the kit’s shell makes use of recycled CDs (rPolycarbonate) while the handles are made from recycled food packaging (rPolypropylene).. Meanwhile, the Pebble’s matte finish speaks to a signature Snarkitecture design theme.
The travel-friendly Pebble Snarkitecture edition includes a knife, fork, spoon, straw and chopstick as part of an effort to decrease use of single-use plastic utensils.
Pentatonic debuted the Pebble in July 2020 as part of a creative effort with Pharrell Williams‘ I Am Other creative platform. As part of the partnership, Pentatonic created Otherware, a studio specializing in creating and selling items that minimize damage to the planet
Priced at $70, Snarkitecture’s Pebble is now available in Pentatonic’s Otherware store.
