Nike continues to accessorize its women’s silhouettes with the reveal an Air Force 1 Pixel sneaker (style code: DC1160-100) delightfully detailed with a gold chain and jewel-covered Swoosh charm affectionately referred to as shoelery by fans of the trend.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Pixel Gold Chain features a white leather upper with satin and corduroy inserts in different shades of white and light grey. The gold chain and Swoosh charm are threaded through the shoe’s laces.
The shoe is named after its outsole which takes inspiration from the pixel, the smallest item of information used to form an electronic image. Meanwhile, the heel tab makes use of an artful block font to spell out Nike on the left shoe and AF1 on the right shoe.
Prior to the Air Force 1 Pixel, Nike has added similar chains to its Air Max 90 and Air Max 95. Last month, the mega-sports brand offered up a grey version of the Air Force 1 Pixel, which immediately sold out upon arrival.
Priced at $100 and sized for women, the shoe launches on January 1, 2021 on nike.com and at select accounts.
