More active on Twitter than any other social media platform, SZA received some push back from users this week following an innocent enough tweet in which she asked for TV recommendations. The singer/songwriter wrote, “So I’ve never owned a television and I wanna know what’s the best brand.”
Multiple users accused her of lying about not owning a TV previously with some posting a recent image of SZA lounging in a room that included a big screen TV in the background as evidence.
Putting aside the possibility the image was shot in a home not belonging to SZA, Twitter users proceeded to pile on, bringing back up her 2017 claim that she can’t be vegan because she’s allergic to “most fruits n vegetables.”

Without addressing the TV accusations (she ended up buying a Samsung, see below), today SZA posted medical paperwork showing results of an allergy skin test revealing high sensitivity to a litany of foods many of which were fruits and vegetables.
With the most problematic items highlighted in yellow, the list includes apple, banana, egg yolk, strawberry, beef, rice, cashew, cod, cow’s milk, oats, shrimp, soybean, feathers, cotton linters, apricot, blueberry, cantaloupe, watermelon, orange, raspberry, navy bean, sweet potato, string bean, mushroom, onion, vanilla, spinach, paprika, olive, cabbage, pear, buckwheat, pork, crab, halibut, flounder, mackerel and sesame seed.
Attaching the allergy post to her 2017 tweet stating she would be a vegan if it weren’t for allergies, SZA noted, “Every last item listed on this gives me hives acne or diarrhea. Please go to hell.”
Commenting on the claims she’s a liar without addressing them directly, she wrote, “Y’all on some weird shit .. not gonna retrograde me tho no sir lmao I REBUKE.”
