Dominican-Italian songwriter Yendry releases her latest single “Se Acabo” featuring Dominican-born rapper and Roc Nation signee Mozart La Para. Alongside the single, Yendry released a three-minute documentary titled “En El Patio” exploring her roots as a Dominican.
A contestant on X-Factor Italy in 2012, Yendry Fiorentino checked in with The Fader on the inspiration for “Se Acabó” (It’s Over). She explained, “I wrote it when everything was still apparently fine, but my subconscious was already sending me signs that something was breaking inside me.
“There is always a period of time when both people in a relationship try to text and fix things and still hang out together, but most of the time it’s just an illusion. When love ends, it’s almost impossible to revive it.”
