We are so thrilled to report that Los Angeles-based designer Melody Ehsani today (March 5, 2020) was announced as creative director of women’s for Foot Locker.
As part of her role, Ehsani will curate a monthly assortment of Nike and Jordan footwear and will also oversee a quarterly Melody Ehsani apparel capsule, exclusive to Foot Locker. The first collection is scheduled for a June launch.
Providing some hints on what she plans to design for Foot Locker, Ehsani explained, “They will be inspired by basketball but carry you through the day.”

Born and raised in Los Angeles to Persian parents, Ehsani pivoted from a career in law to one in fashion in 2008 when she launched her eponymous label began with a focus on fashion footwear and acrylic accessories. Underscoring a consistent them in all her efforts, her offerings frequently celebrated female empowerment.
Ehsani went on to forge a two-year shoe and apparel partnership with Reebok and also collaborated with Lauryn Hill in a collection celebrating her Grammy Award-winning The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album.
In 2019, she turned heads with a well-received Jordan 1 Mid collaboration that was followed by a her cherry-kissed version of the Jordan OG sneaker.
Reflecting her commitment to lifting up women, she’s hosted multiple M.E. Speaker Series conversations with game-changing women at her Fairfax, Los Angeles store, including Serena Williams, Kelis, Dr. Joy DeGruy, Janaya Khan and more.
