Tokyo-based Sacai‘s as lead by Chitose Abe provided a happy surprise with her fall 2021 menswear and women’s pre-fall collection which included a selection of outerwear, knits separates made in collaboration with artist KAWS (real name Brian Donnelly). Continuing the labels ongoing partnership with Nike, the collection also features a Sacai and KAWS Blazer sneaker.
Fresh off the opening of opening a solo show at Brooklyn Museum, KAWS provided some feedback about the collection on Instagram where he wrote, “I’m happy to finally be able to share this collaborative project I worked on with Sacai, I consider Chitose Abe a friend and I’m thankful she’s welcomed my work into her creative world. This project was a fun one and I hope you enjoy it.”
Sacai and KAWS apparel capsule is currently set for a July 2021 launch.
