Decatur, Georgia-born rapper Yung Baby Tate (real name Tate Farris) has dropped a visual for “I Am,” a fan favorite single featuring Flo Milli (real name Tamia Carter). The song was included on her seven-song EP “After the Rain,” released in December 2020.
Themed on a message of positivity, the song opens with the lyrics: “I am hеalthy, I am wealthy, I am rich, I am that bitch; I am gonna go get that bag; And I am not gonna take your shit, I am protеcted, well respected, I’m a queen, I’m a dream; I do what I wanna do, and I’m who I wanna be; ‘Cause I am me.”
In the colorful Andre Muir-directed visual, Tate and Milli celebrate the joy of female friendship with a crew of dancers who serve up cute dance moves choreographed by Sakinah LeStage in a series of matching monochromatic outfits styled by Abigail Petit.
Commenting on the effort on Instagram, Tate commented, “We worked so hard on this art and I can’t wait to share it with you. To my director @andremuir thank you for taking my vision and elevating it to the highest peaks, there’s no going back down after this!
“I cried last night after seeing this video, surrounded by all my friends, family, & loved ones cuz we have come SO far, but I know we still got a long way to go! Ok my acceptance speech is over now 😂.”
