Get ready! Doja Cat‘s long-awaited, 14-song album, Planet Her, launches on June 25th and will include contributions from The Weeknd, Young Thug, Ariana Grande, JID and SZA, who is featured on the project’s lead single, “Kiss Me More.”
The album launch party will kick off on June 24th at 11:45 PM EST on YouTube where Doja (real name Amala Dlamini) will premiere the visual for “You Right” featuring The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye).
In a shout out to Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Maraj-Petty), the album includes a single, whose tempo is influenced by the Queens-born rapper’s flow, titled “Get Into It (Yuh).” According to Genius, the song includes the lyrics “Been tweaking on live; I ain’t taking over no prime; Unless that bitch is Nicki Minaj; ‘Cause that bitch is freaky and wild; Compare me to her ’til I die; Thank you, Nicki Minaj.” [UPDATE: Doja does shout out Minaj on “Get Into It (Yuh),” but the lyrics referencing are “Thank you, Nicki, I love you; Got that big rocket launcher,” a reference to Minaj’s lyrics in “Massive Attack.”]
