Nike Provides Tutorial On Gaining Exclusive Access On SNKRS App

While Nike is notoriously tight-lipped about the inner workings of its SNKRS app, the sport giant recently chose a different tack by providing some tips on how users can increase their chance of winning a drop.

In advance of Nike’s much buzzed about collaboration with Off-White on 50 pairs of Dunk sneakers (which will launch over several days, starting August 9, 2021), Nike let it be none it’s been making some adjustments to Exclusive Access, a push notification that invites users to purchase shoes before or after the official launch, or delivered in absence of a general launch. There are also some shoes that will be release only through exclusive access.

While SNKRS users have long speculated Nike provides members who use the app with a higher status, the brand has now confirmed that is the case. Read up on how you can up your chances on SNKRS with the list provided below.

Nike’s Exclusive Access Tutorial

1. Exclusive Access invitations extend personalized purchase offers to members of the SNKRS community based on their engagement with the SNKRS app. Exclusive Access may be delivered before the general launch, after the general launch, or delivered in absence of a general launch, some drops may release only via Exclusive Access.

2. Nike uses over 50 variables to determine which members are awarded Exclusive Access for a given product. Variables include prior SNKRS launch entries, content engagement and poll responses, among others. While the variables are combined in different ways for each Exclusive Access , Nike’s goal is to reward the most deserving members.

3. Exclusive Access is always delivered via a push notification, so in order to receive an invitation, SNRS notifications should be enabled. As well, Exclusive Access invitations are good only for a limited time. Additionally, Exclusive Access does not mean a pair is reserved for in a member’s size, but rather assures first chance at the product.

In a nutshell, turn on notifications and engage with SNKRS on a daily basis. If the app is inviting you to participate, whether through a poll or a heart button, do so. In the Discover part of the app, watch the videos and share them. For upcoming drops, tap Notify Me on the silhouettes you’re interested in. Of course don’t buy shoes you don’t want, but just know, Nike is tracking who is actually buying and those individuals will have a better chance of winning the very coveted drops than those who only open the app when a very high heat item drops.
