May marked the return of Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty who had been on a hiatus from social media since January 2021. Minaj thrilled the Barbz when she announced she was uploading her 2011 “Beam Me Up Scotty” mixtape to all streaming platforms along with two new singles including “Seeing Green” featuring Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) and Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Carter).
The month also include a name change with Atlanta-based rapper Mulatto (real name Alyssa Stephens) swapping out her controversial moniker for Latto. And while Robyn Rihanna Fenty still hasn’t released new music, we were informed via a GQ cover story that A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) views her as the love of his life. Rih-Rih has yet to comment on the matter.
