Nike And Ambush Reveal Moto-Inspired Jackets And Pants, Launching July 30th

Nike and Ambush follow up on news of their Dunk High sneaker (style code: CU7544-300) in a flash lime colorway with the reveal of a six piece apparel collection. Just like the sneaker, the jacket and trackpants take inspiration from Japanese motorcycle culture.

Themed on a pink and lime fluorescent green color story, offerings include a jacket, trackpants, short sleeve shirt, crop top, a vest bag and a cap. Notably, this collection was first teased in spring 2020 when the Tokyo Olympics were still on track to take place during summer 2020.

In press on the offerings, Ambush designer Yoon Ahn explained, “Inspired by Japan’s motorcycle subculture, I designed the motorcycle jacket and pant to be as futuristically fashionable as they are functional. The collection’s bright pink and neon green colors nod to Tokyo’s bright lights and anime culture, illustrating the surprising ways sport can transform the aesthetics of daily life.”

In her first appearance in a Nike-related effort, Megan thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) is featured alongside Ahn in campaign images.

Priced from $50 for the cap up to $250 for the jacket and $180 for the Dunk High sneakers, Nike and Ambush’s fall 2021 collection will launch globally on July 30, 2021 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Ambush will sell the collection through its online store by raffle.
