Designer Gianvito Rossi delighted during Milan Fashion Week with the reveal of a super glam collection for spring 2022 highlighted by a candy-colored high heel platform mule featuring a pointed toe and plexi upper. Brushing off the comfort footwear trend, heels were delicate and sky high, boasting heel heights of four and five inches.
Reflecting the growing buzz around high heels returning to favor, Rossi told Footwear News, “Heels push you to be more energetic. It’s much better to dress up and move around. That will keep you much younger than staying in sneakers or flats.”
According to Rossi, the return of the high heel coincides with a desire to dress-up. “Finally we see a great comeback of dressing up again, heels, elegance, a renaissance,” he explained.
