Nike has revealed Megan thee Stallion as its newest ambassador with a campaign describing the Houston-born hottie as an athlete whose sport is dance, rapping and performance. In the spot, Megan provides her fitness history, pointing out she was often encouraged to take advantage of her height and play basketball or volleyball.
Rather than take up a sport, Megan followed her passion for entertaining, and while performers aren’t usually viewed as athletes, Megan pointed out her all-day rehearsals, daily fitness routines and twerk-filled concert performances all require the grit and endurance of any top athlete.
Megan made the announcement on Instagram where she wrote, “HOTTIES WE ARE OFFICIALLY NIKE HOTTIES🔥🔥🔥 I told y’all, Real Hotties put other Hotties on! So I’m sharing my fitness story to let you know sport is whatever ya want it to be. Dance is my sport. Rapping is my sport. Performing is my sport. I am an athlete, and so are you.”
As part of her partnership with Nike, Megan linked with Nike trainer Tara Nicolas to share a series of workouts on the brand’s NTC app. Commenting on the workout, Megan stated, “I like the fact that Hotties get to see me go through my struggle. It’s realistic for you to want to give up. It’s realistic for you to not want to eat this today. It’s just really about discipline.”
According to the NTC workout description: “Megan thee Stallion has the keys to the knees and the energy to twerk and rap at the same time while performing in front of thousands on any given night. She makes it all look so easy, but how does she do it.”
The app includes two workouts with Megan: “Hot Girl Core” and “Pop It Lower Body” plus the “Wellness with Megan thee Stallion” tutorial providing tips on staying healthy and balanced and finally “Mindfulness with Megan the Stallion,” which provides breathing exercises.
While the campaign marks Megan’s role as an official ambassador for Nike, she first appeared in a spot for the sport giant in July as part of an Ambush campaign.
Megan’s NTC workout is now available on the app.
