After a slight pause in early August, Nicki Minaj (real name Onika Maraj) is once again posting fairly regularly on social media where she’s shared images of herself as well as a family portrait with her husband, Kenneth Petty, and their son. Today, the Trinidad-born rapper provided the Barbz and Navy with a pleasant surprise by publishing images of herself and her family posted up at their Los Angeles home with none other than fellow island girl, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Meyers).
Minaj followed up with a video featuring Rihanna with her seven-year-old niece, Majesty, who is the daughter of the Bajan billionaire’s cousin Noella Alstrom. In a second video with just the two music powerhouses, Rihanna joked, “Bajans don’t like Trinis and Trinis don’t like Bajans either. They draw a line in the ocean over flying fish,” a reference to an ongoing dispute between the two countries over who has the rights to capture the species.
According to @onikaswardrobe, Minaj is wearing a Savage X Fenty corset (now sold out), her first time wearing an item from the Rihanna-owned lingerie label. Whether or not they’re working on new music or not, fans believe the Savage X Fenty corset confirms rumors that Minaj will appear in the upcoming Savage X Fenty Volume 3 fashion show.
