Arkansas-born music creative Kari Faux is taking things into her own hands with news she’s forming her own music label called Lowkey Superstar Records. Kari took to Twitter to make the announcement where she wrote, “Lowkey Superstar Records is officially a record label. I’ve been doing music professionally for 10 years with no label support while taking huge financial/creative risks so I said why not sign myself.”
Currently residing in Houston, Kari (real name Kari Johnson) noted that at the moment she’s isn’t planning to sign additional artist, but rather is focused on growing the resources that will enable her to bring on additional creatives. Addressing the topic on Instagram she wrote, “i don’t have intentions to ‘sign’ anyone to anything immediately but instead, to lay the foundation for a lighthouse and safe haven for independent artists.”
