Brooklyn-based Telfar used New York Fashion Week to reveal not just a new duffle bag silhouette, but also the launch of Telfar TV, a television channel curated with brand-exclusive content. In part used to combat bots, the platform will also will act as a store where shoppers can scan a QSR code to obtain drops.
Staged at South Street Seaport, the news was announced with a runway followed by mock press conference whose participants included Telfar founder Telfar Clemens, A$AP Ferg, Leila Weinraub, Jorge Wright, Ian Isiah, Kandis Williams and Teezo Touchdown.
The channel is accessible through Roku and AppleTV as well as telfar.tv where creatives can scan a QR code and upload their own video content for consideration for future programming. Klarna will also be a channel payment partner.
