Jimmy Choo as directed by Sandra Choi has linked up with New York graffiti artist HAZE (real name Eric Haze) on a collection of women’s footwear, handbags and accessories. The capsule also includes men’s loafers. The capsule was curated by Motofumi “Poggy” Kogi, the creative director for Japan’s United Arrows & Sons. The effort included a Medicom Bearbrick detailed with the same geographic print featured throughout the collection.
HAZE took to Instagram to comment on the effort where he wrote, “Honestly, I am as excited about the release of this collaboration as any project I have ever been part of. Over two years in development, this collection is truly the result of a powerful creative connection between @poggytheman Jimmy Choo creative director @sandrachoiofficial and myself.
“Thankfully, we all got a chance to meet in person and set the table before the pandemic shut down travel, after that it became the basis for an immediate learning curve on Zoom, with constant meetings around the world on at least three time zones.”
Jimmy Choo and Haze’s collection will be available online and in stores internationally starting October 11, 2021.
