Supreme has tapped legendary graffiti artist Lady Pink (real name Sandra Fabara) and graffiti platform Beyond the Streets for an upcoming drop featuring art from her “1969 Super Sport Cameo” and “Ladies Room” paintings. Items from this week’s drop include a mesh cap, skateboard deck and porcelain tray. The first half of the capsule, which launched in August 2021, featured a hoodie, t-shirt and sweatpants.
Commenting on the Lower East Side scene that inspired the painting, the Ecuadorian-born Lady Pink stated, “It wasn’t pleasant. It was full of hookers and drug addicts. It was the stuff you heard about but to see it was pretty shocking.”
Once part of Keith Haring‘s personal collection, “1969 Super Sport Cameo” recently sold at a Sotheby’s auction for $163,800.
A signed version of “1969 Super Sport Cameo” limited to a run of 100 is now also available on Beyond the Streets, priced at $250
Priced at $42 for the mesh cap, $48 for the porcelain tray and $60 for the deck, Supreme and Lady Pink’s capsule will launch on supremenewyork.com at 11:00 AM EST on October 28, 2021.
