Montreal-based vegan bag company Lambert has updated it’s offerings with a new quilted collection. Placing an emphasis on minimalist design, the quilted collection features a tote, crossbody bag and wallet. Detailed with a 3D logo, all of the bags are offered in black while the wallet is offered in either black or bubblegum pink. The tote and crossbody feature a black chain strap.
Certified by PETA, the bags makes use of polyurethane vegan leather rather than PVC, which is much more harmful to the environment.
Lambert is working on source vegetable leather materials, which are vegan and more eco-responsible because they are biodegradable.
The brand was founded in 2017 by Mélissa Lambert, who want to create a multipurpose vegan leather handbag combining practicality with good looks. In an exchange with WWD, Lambert explained, “The inspiration for launching Lambert came from my own needs because my own bag was a mess.” At the time, Lambert was pregnant with her second child (she now has three boys) and was in search of vegan bag capable of focusing as a dual-purpose bag/diaper bag not covered with flowers.
“I just wanted something that was bold, chic and practical, but all you could find back then if you were pregnant or a young mom were these ugly flowered bags, the kind your boyfriend would definitely never want to use,” she added.
Priced from $44.99 for the wallet up to $149.99 for the tote, all items are available on designlambert.com.
