Lululemon has revealed its first shoe collection, consisting of four running and training silhouettes. In the works for four years, the shoes were designed for women and will role out over the course of the year.
The collection kicks off with the Blissfeel running shoe on March 22. 2022. The Chargefeel, Strongfeel, and a recovery slide called the Restfeel will launch in the coming months. Four years in the making, Lululemon chose to makes its debut silhouettes for women, making use of women’s footwear scans and testers to create a shoe designed for the female foot. The brand will launch men’s footwear in 2023.
Highlighting the decision to launch with a women’s shoe, Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald said, “Creating an entire line of footwear for women-first is really a completely different approach. It’s not women-also. It’s women-first.”
Lululemon first announced it was entering footwear in April 2019. The retail brand had previously partnered with APL on a line of men’s and women’s footwear it sold from 2017 through 2019.
While Lululemon hasn’t announced pricing, the Blissfeel running shoe will launch in stores and online in North America, China and the United Kingdom on March 22, 2022.
