After a two-year break from sneaker collaborations, music creative Kendrick Lamar has announced plans for a Converse collaboration, his debut effort with the brand following several Nike collabs. The partnership will run through pgLang, a creative platform and agency founded by Lamar and his business partner, David Free.
The featured silhouettes are the Chuck 70 High (style code: A00691C) and the Pro Leather (style code: style code: A00692C). Both shoes feature a white upper detailed with metal eyelets with Converse and pgLang branding on the upper and insole. Campaign images feature music creatives Seleh Marley and Tanna Leone, who is signed to pgLang.
The partnership with Converse follows news of Lamar’s fifth album, titled Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which will drop on May 13, 2022. The album will be Lamar’s final project with Top Dawg Entertainment.
Priced at $100 for the Chuck 70 High and $90 for the Pro Leather, both shoes will launch on May 3, 2022 on converse.com and pglang.com.
