As part of an ongoing series titled “Construct:10061,” Timberland and footwear innovation platform ConceptKicks have selected designers Everard Best (aka Ev Bravado) and Téla D’Amore of Who Decides War, Jaimus Tailor of Greater Goods, footwear designer Aisha Kuijk, and conceptual artist Zixiong Wei to put their spin on a Timberland boot.
Reflecting Timberland’s goals around sustainability, designers were tasked with making use of materials including Abaca organic cotton, Ecco Bio Dyneema leather, Tencelo Lyocell ripstop fabric plus leather and rubber sourced from regenerative farms.
Taking to Instagram to reveal three white boots making use of contrast stitching and unique detailing, Best wrote in the caption, “Love Timberland and Construct 10061 for letting us cook up these boots, now which one y’all want the most?”
While the shoes are part of a conceptual project and not currently planned for sale at retail, we anticipate seeing Best and D’Amore’s Timberland boots at the Who Decides War runway show in July.
